Our Team
Meet the team behind Elston & Gourdie — combining storytelling, composition and theatre production to create original musical theatre.
Heather Gourdie
Heather Gourdie is a Scottish writer and performer whose work draws inspiration from folklore, history and storytelling traditions. Her writing often explores how myth and historical narratives shape modern perspectives, bringing overlooked stories to life through musical theatre.
As part of Elston & Gourdie, she focuses on developing original work rooted in strong narrative and character.

Technical Director & ComposerFOR ‘SORRY, ISOBEL’
This project would not have been possible without the generous support of Heather's dad, whose funding made our Research & Development period possible.
His belief in the project allowed us to explore, develop and shape the work in its earliest stages.
We are incredibly grateful for his support.
Thank you, Murray.
